Glulam Timber Engineering has supplied the curved Glulam portal frames for Network Rail’s new low-carbon Maintenance Delivery Unit in Barnetby-le-Wold. The timber structure, featuring curved portals, shaped Glulam ridge beams and Glulam eaves beams, delivers a warm, natural finish while significantly reducing embodied carbon.

The new facility will offer modern offices, meeting rooms and staff amenities, with a design that boosts natural daylight and thermal performance. This project highlights how Glulam technology brings sustainability, efficiency and architectural impact to modern infrastructure.
