Pictured are five Feature Trusses with a 12.2m span and another six with a 10.4m span. These will be combined with an additional two sets of hip & jack trusses, as well as all the purlins and sundry other sections to create the Glulam centrepiece in the project’s flagship Visitor Centre.

We will design, manufacture and supply bespoke Glulam Feature Trusses to replace the Roof Trusses in what will become the project’s flagship Visitor Centre. Metal plates like these are the main way to join Glulam and will be concealed in a slot within the middle of the Glulam components. Bolts or steel dowels will then be inserted into the holes to securely lock these components together.

Our expert team has been using our Hundegger saw to create these impressive joints. These joints are very useful in feature trusses to connect the diagonal and straight webs to the rafters and where there are corner braces to connect these between the posts and beams.
